NSW:Pauline Hanson may form new party
Former One Nation leader PAULINE HANSON says she will consider forming another political
party after narrowly failing to win a New South Wales upper house spot as an independent.
Ms HANSON says she is disappointed to have missed out on a seat in the Legislative
Council .. despite having a higher primary vote than the eventual winner.
The distribution of preferences from the March 26 state election .. conducted at the
NSW Electoral Commission today .. saw the Greens and Nationals leapfrog Ms HANSON to take
the last two of the 21 seats up for election.
Ms HANSON says not being able to have her name above the line on the ballot paper had
potentially cruelled her chances and has called for reform of the state's voting system.
She also says this election has clearly shown people are fed up with the major political
parties and setting up a new political party is something for her to consider.
