(Nasdaq: BCSI), the technology leader in Application Delivery Networking, announced that it continued to lead the worldwide content security gateway appliance market for the first calendar quarter of 2010, according to the most recent market share report released by Infonetics Research. Blue Coat continued its market leadership for the 13th consecutive quarter, the entire length of time Infonetics has tracked the content security market.

According to Infonetics Blue Coat is the leader in the content security gateway appliance market which is expected to grow from $1.5 billion in 2010 to $2.3 billion in 2014. During that same period, Infonetics projects that the Web/malware segment of the market will grow 44 percent, from $870 million to nearly $1.3 billion.
